The National Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission (FLN) is an important step of Government of India to ensure acquisition of Foundational Literacy and Numeracy skills by the time children reach Class III.
We at Pathsekeers, lay emphasis on developing various skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing, meaningful counting, arithmetic and mathematical thinking to make every child proficient in reading with understanding and numeracy. This goal is achieved through discovery and activity-based pedagogies implemented with lot of passion and commitment.
To ensure the attainment of these skills, ample opportunities are given to children throughout the year like poem recitation, listening & reading activities, quizzes, extempore, story-telling, show and tell, etc. followed by continuous assessments. Learning gaps are identified along with their probable reasons, various strategies are initiated and remediation program is carried out.
School has a dedicated Language Lab to enhance the reading and listening skills among children.
First in Math Program has been introduced from Grades I to VIII. It features hundreds of engaging math games to strengthen fact fluency, automaticity, computational thinking and other critical skills.
The school follows inquiry driven, developmentally appropriate and play based curriculum. The Project Approach to learning has also been integrated into the curriculum across classes allowing the children to explore knowledge and build experiences. These efforts shall help children in attaining the Literacy and Numeracy skills as envisaged in NEP, 2020.
