Our code of conduct is based on the following broad principles:
- All children have the right to learn.
- All children have the right to be treated equally.
- All children have the right to work in a secure and enabling environment.
- All children have the right to be safe.
Code of conduct
Dear Children,
The given below code of conduct will guide you in your behavior. It would help build a positive personality and school identity.
- Be respectful and talk politely.
- Make frequent use of Please·, Thank you·, Sorry·, Excuse me, while wishing and conversing with the teachers, elders, peers and others.
- Always be ready to lend a helping hand to parents, siblings, teachers, peers and any visitor whom you might meet in the school premises.
- Always greet and respect teachers, elders and friends in a pleasant tone whenever you meet them outside or inside the school premises.
- Treat all individuals with respect and dignity irrespective of caste, colour, creed and gender.
- Never hesitate to say 'NO' when asked or tempted to do a thing which you know is not right.
- Accomplish your tasks and assignments honestly, in time.
- Always put on proper, neat and clean school uniform with school ID Card.
- Always come to the school in time.
- Never bring mobile phones, CDs, DVDs, e-games, pen drives, laser pointers or any other electronic gadgets to the school.
- Avoid lending or borrowing money or other things.
- Trim your hair (other than children of Sikh families) and cut your nails regularly.
- Children from Sikh families shall wear Patka of Blue colour.
- Never wear jewellery, henna or tattoos to school.
- Girls with long hair should make two plaits and wear navy blue ribbons.
- Girls with very short hair should wear plain black hair bands and/ or two rubber bands.
- Respect school property. Do not write, scratch or engrave graffiti on desks, chairs and other surfaces.
- Be careful that you do not carry any school belongings to your home.
- Keep your books and notebooks tidy. Do not tear pages from the notebook.
- Restrict yourself from following:
- Spitting in or near the school building
- Any form of gambling
- Use of drugs, intoxicants
- Bursting crackers or throwing colours on one another or painting faces within school premises
- Use of abusive language
- The school provides all the necessary facilities for sports activities during games period. So, do not bring your own ball, bat or any other sports items. (Unless required for specialised coaching and/or tournament)
- Do not mistreat fellow students or act in a way that interferes with the ability of other students to learn in a peaceful and safe environment.
- Bullying, ragging and use of foul language are punishable offences, whether in or out of school. Strict disciplinary action will be taken against students indulging in same.
Rules of Punctuality & Attendance
- Avoid taking half day leave. However, such leave may be granted only at the discretion of the Headmistress / Principal. Gate Pass has to be obtained which is to be deposited with the guard at the school's main gate.
- Children must have minimum of 85% attendance during an academic year.
- Do not take any leave on the day of assessment.
- Leave of more than 5 days will have to be sanctioned by the Headmistress/Principal.
Library Rules
- Library in Pathseekers is equipped with all necessary information resources: Fiction & Non-Fiction Books, Reference Books, Encyclopedias, Atlases, Dictionaries, Newspapers and Magazines.
- Children can use the Library for research and study from morning till evening in their allotted library periods.
- The misuse of library material will result in loss of library privileges.
- Library is a reading zone. So, kindly refrain from talking or creating disturbance.
- Children are responsible for the care of books and other library material.
- Do not take books and other material out from the library without permission of the librarian.
- Do not leave the books and magazines on the table after reading them. They should be kept back in the respective shelves.
- Marking in Library books and magazines is forbidden.
Rules to be followed in Dining Area
- Reach the dining hall on time in proper discipline.
- Wash your hands before and after meals.
- Wipe wet hands with towel.
- Wait patiently in queue for your turn while taking food, beverage or washing hands.
- Take all the things served in required amount as complete nutrition is important.
- Do not over eat or miss any meal.
- Be polite and patient in Dining Hall.
- Sit at the defined place with your classmates to eat food.
- Always say your prayer before eating and thank God after eating the food.
- Do not talk while eating.
